Welcome to DJ Medusa's Home Page My Musical taste... Keeping your Cool, realy! Make sure when you have a gig , you operate heavy machinery without the use of drugs or alcohol. I prefer energy drinks or just a few bottles of cold water. I sweat allot when I'm gigging & lose allot water when I'm concentrating on moving the crowd. Another thing is to have a good meal prior to doing your show, it helps you concentrate on what you got to do instead of worrying about getting hungry & having that nagging feeling in your gut which is not the butterflies. Last but not least: keep your cool under fire, as in don't let yourself be bothered by nagging party-goers, tired partymanagers or drunken pest, keep your focus on the task at hand & always be polite & courtious. Make shure you keep your cool, always, no matter what. It builds character & your rep, which will preceed your being. It works only to your advantage in this enviroment of playing out & gigging. 1. Check your music: make sure that your cd's are not scratched, your md's are good, your wax is clead or your back up hard drives are ready to go in case of an emergency. 2. Carry back-up media with you, back up cables, mic, miniflashlight,2 or more headphones with their adapters, small combination tools or apparatus to cut wit, will always come in handy. Extra styli when using records. 3. Expect the unexpected. Go through all the possible case scenarios & create a solution for the problem & make sure that you have enough back-up material to secure the continuation of your gig. |
